Motivate and inspire pupils to engage in extra curricular activities

Extra curricular clubs further enhance the profile of PE and School Sport by offering additional opportunities for all pupils to participate in physical activity whist at school. Our extra curricular programme motivates and inspires pupils to engage in a wide variety of sports and activities at breakfast, lunch time and after school clubs.

Breakfast Clubs

JB breakfast clubs provide an opportunity for the children to start their day with physical activity. The clubs are multi sport, multi activity based to ensure they are engaging for all pupils who may attend.

Lunchtime Clubs

Lunchtime clubs are a fantastic way to engage children in more physical activity during the school day. We can deliver sport specific clubs, or offer a range of engaging activities that support the structure and pupil behavior during lunchtime.

After School Clubs

After School Clubs are a brilliant way to engage as many children as possible in extra curricular sport. Our clubs cover a wide range of activities, and are appropriate for all primary school children.

Playleader Award

The playmaker award is designed for upper KS2 children. The course will equip the pupils to lead structured play at lunchtimes, which increase physical activity levels and decrease incidents of poor behaviour.

Primary PE scorecard

The Primary PE Scorecard allows JB’s partner primary schools to assess their spending of the sports premium, by analyzing the provision against the D of E’s 5 key indicators for PESSPA. Upon completion of the scorecard, the provision can be reviewed and effective strategies implemented if required, to ensure all 5 key indicators are successfully met. The scorecard can be used in addition to the impact report to evidence effective usage of the SSP.

We recently got the call from OFSTED informing us that they would be performing a deep dive into our PE curriculum. JB Sports very forthcoming with offering support in our preparation. Within an hour, we had an in depth discussion with the curriculum lead at JB Sports, who was fantastic.  On the day itself, we felt confident as a team in answering questions thrown at us by OFSTED which was helped without question by the support of the JB Sports staff and their curriculum leaders.
