History and Background

Founded by Oliver Johnson and Stephen Brown in 2009, JB began its journey as an after school football coaching provider. Over the years, the company developed its knowledge, experience and reputation within the education sector and gradually evolved in to a PE, after school club and holiday camp provider. As the company continued to grow, the first full time staff members were recruited to aid the expansion in to more schools across Lincolnshire, allowing more children to access our provision. The breadth of the services continued to develop with swimming and community projects being established in 2014, with training services being introduced in 2019. At present, the company employs 40 members of staff, engages 18,000 people a week across our services and is the largest independent sport and education company in Lincolnshire.

We recently got the call from OFSTED informing us that they would be performing a deep dive into our PE curriculum. JB Sports very forthcoming with offering support in our preparation. Within an hour, we had an in depth discussion with the curriculum lead at JB Sports, who was fantastic.  On the day itself, we felt confident as a team in answering questions thrown at us by OFSTED which was helped without question by the support of the JB Sports staff and their curriculum leaders.
