Enrichment Opportunities

A broader PE experience for your pupils

Enrichment opportunities allow schools to provide new and engaging experiences for their pupils. We have a variety of enrichment activities that are suitable for all age ranges and can provide a broader experience across a range of sports and activities.

Inter School Sport

JB organize and officiate a minimum of 6 inter school sports tournament throughout the school year. There are three leagues across the county, with schools being entered in to the league that is most suitable for them logistically.

Intra School Sport

Intra School Sports tournaments can be delivered in addition to core PE delivery, and are a great way for children to access competitive sport on site.

Archery

Arrows is a mini version of archery specifically designed for primary school children of all ages and is Archery GB’s Primary Offer, which has been designed in an attempt to get more children participating in archery. Arrows is a fun alternative to more traditional sports and as a result, has proved very popular in primary schools across the country.

Boxercise

With so much concern over child fitness and obesity, Boxercise has the perfect answer to providing fitness sessions that are
great fun, easy to teach and suitable for all ages. Boxercise is already taught in hundreds of schools in the UK and has been shown to build confidence and increase self-esteem in under-achieving pupils.

Balanceability

Balanceability combines balance bikes with a schedule of fun activities that build confidence, spatial awareness and dynamic balance skills enabling young children to cycle without ever needing stabilisers.

Laser Tag

Laser Tag is a firm favourite for children of all ages. Played in teams, the children use teamwork, problem solving, and
communication skills to try and eliminate all members of the other team! The game can be played indoors, or outdoors, and can have up to 4 separate teams all playing within the same game.

Fencing

Fencing is a combat sport based on the traditional skills of swordsmanship, with players scoring points by striking their opponents chest plate with their sword. Midi Fencing allows children to compete against one another in a safe, fun, and engaging environment.

Who are JB Sport and Education?

JB Sport and Education deliver a breadth of services across five distinct areas; schools, swimming, holidays, training and community.

We are extremely proud to say that we engage approximately 18,000 people in sport, education and training services every week. We have 40 highly qualified and experienced staff members who help us to deliver our services. Access to regular sport and physical activity has a hugely positive impact on the mental, social, and physical wellbeing of the participants. Our aim is to provide as many opportunities as possible to allow more people, to be more active, more often.

We recently got the call from OFSTED informing us that they would be performing a deep dive into our PE curriculum. JB Sports very forthcoming with offering support in our preparation. Within an hour, we had an in depth discussion with the curriculum lead at JB Sports, who was fantastic. On the day itself, we felt confident as a team in answering questions thrown at us by OFSTED which was helped without question by the support of the JB Sports staff and their curriculum leaders.
